Volunteering at LIFT LIFT relies heavily on members' volunteer hours to assist with the day-to-day running of the co-op, as well as with many ongoing activities undertaken by the organization. Members may also support LIFT by volunteering for special committees. For more information contact the Membership and Volunteer Coordinator.
Volunteering and Membership Level Any Associate member must complete 8 hour of volunteering before gaining access to any equipment. Any Associate in good standing may become a Full member by completing an additional 8 hours of volunteer work and paying an additional fee of $60.00.
Thereafter, maintenance of accessing level for the Associate Level requires 8 hours every year plus membership fees. Maintenance of the Full membership requires 16 hours of volunteer work year plus membership fee.

Volunteer Opportunities Please note: You must be a LIFT member before you can volunteer at LIFT In the LIFT office: General office duties such as answering phones, stuffing envelopes, cleaning editing suites, mopping, sweeping etc.
Technical: For those with a technical background, help out in our equipment room during office hours (Repairing lights, doing camera tests etc.) Arrangements must be made with the Technical Coordinators to discuss your qualifications.
Outside Office Hours: Special jobs for special skills (Carpentry, web design, publicity etc.); help out at special events (setting up, selling tickets, bartending etc.); phone arounds for upcoming events.
Double Hours: Run errands with your vehicle, subject to availablitiy. Double hours are given because we do NOT reimburse drivers for gas or parking
