Finishing a film and don't know what to do with it? Don't let it gather dust on your shelf. This workshop focuses on the distribution options for short and artist-driven films. It will cover different distribution models (self-distribution, not-for-profit, commercial) as well as strategies for distribution in the festival, educational and broadcast markets. Participants will learn how to work with a distributor and what you need to put your work into distribution.

Participants are encouraged to bring a short description of their most recent film to the workshop.

Instructor:

Larissa Fan is a Toronto-based filmmaker, writer, and arts administrator. She has worked for a variety of media arts organizations in Toronto (Inside Out, LIFT, and Images Festival) and is currently Distribution Manager at the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre (CFMDC).
