Final Cut Pro is one of the most popular and accessible non-linear editing programs. This intensive hands-on workshop will give each student a basic understanding of digital editing with this powerful software. We'll take you through the process of capturing video and audio, editing and manipulating your image, adding titles and mastering your short video to tape. Take this course and start to explore the possibilities of Final Cut Pro.
Instructors:
Class A
Kunal Gauba is a media professional with over ten years of experience. He has worked internationally in an array of fields and currently freelances as an offline editor. He also adopts the role of producer/director for various projects taken on by his personal company Sohan Lall Media. His editing work ranges from music videos, to corporate and non-profit organizations as well as broadcast and film festivals. Recently he finished three documentaries for OMNI Television: The R Word, Rastafari Then and Now, and A Linc in Time the latter of which had its theatrical debut at the closing gala of the Canadian Black Film Festival last September. www.kunalgauba.com
Class B
Gareth Jasper was involved in the independent filmmaking scene in his native London, with recent projects based in the world of live music. While in the UK he taught video editing and production as a technical tutor for a creative arts university in the UK. He now works as Technical Coordinator for LIFT and is currently researching a number of documentary projects.
