FRANKLY MY DEAR, I DON'T...KARAOKE
Act Your Heart Out at MOVIE-OKE 2:
LIFT's Annual Film Karaoke and Silent Auction
Toronto, ON - Bring out your Mickey Rourke, Meryl Streep and Clark Gable! Join Toronto's film fans for MOVIE-OKE 2: LIFT's Annual Film Karaoke and Silent Auction on Wednesday, November 25 at the Gladstone Hotel (Ballroom).
The Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT) invites you be "in the movies" for one night. Movie-oke is karaoke, with a twist - no singing! Perform scenes from your favourite movies, with live musical accompaniment. Here's your chance to act alongside some of film's greatest! Show Cate Blanchett who really is queen of the castle. Put Clint Eastwood to shame as you paralyze the crowd with your steely stare.
In between "award-winning" performances, bid on items from the Silent Auction. A popular event every year, the Silent Auction is a great opportunity to find bargains before the holidays. Items this year include: film supplies and services; theatre tickets; and much, much more.
"MOVIE-OKE takes the movies out of the theatre for an interactive, dynamic night celebrating film and supporting Toronto's independent film community," says Ben Donoghue, Executive Director of LIFT. "Last year's event was a huge hit, memorable to say the least. We look forward to building on it."
